Henry B. Nevins (1878-1959) was a master yacht builder and author on vessel construction. Mr. Nevins began his career at the Gas Engine & Power Co. and Charles L. Seabury & Co., Consolidated, City Island, New York. In 1907 he bought the Hansen Boat Yard at City Island, New York and founded Henry B. Nevins, Inc. He later added the adjoining land of the Byles Yard to increase his acreage. He built custom cruising and racing craft and, during World War II, minesweepers for the war effort. ...
